Grant Tuer trains at Wiske House Farm Stables, situated on the outskirts of Birkby in the peaceful North Yorkshire countryside.
The son of now retired former trainer Edwin Tuer, Grant grew up amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy racing yard and as such was able to witness first hand just what it takes to run an efficient and successful stable.

Grant was fortunate to spend time working for multiple Group 1 winning trainers Ger Lyons and Jessica Harrington before Edwin's retirement saw Grant take over the licence in 2016. In a very short space of time he has managed to prove himself a shrewd and talented trainer saddling winners on a regular basis.

The 2021 flat season has been an outstanding one for Grant and all of the team, with a career best 33 winners saddled so far, some real highlights include the likes of Lion Tower (pictured) winning three times and going close in both the Carlisle Bell and Summer Cup at Thirsk. Maison De York providing the team with their first winner at York. Out Of Breath completing a five timer, and Gunnerside winning six races through the early summer.

With a strong emphasis on equine welfare, Grant and his hard-working team are totally committed to maximising the potential of every horse in their care and always endeavour to keep owners informed of the progress of their horses.
